Publication Ethics and Malpractice

Publication Ethics and Malpractice
At Afaq Journal, we believe that academic integrity is the cornerstone of knowledge building and academic research development. We therefore adhere to the highest standards of publication ethics and reject any form of unethical practices that may distort the research process.
Our publishing philosophy is based on two fundamental principles: the first is the shared responsibility between the journal and researchers to maintain the purity of academic work, and the second is complete transparency in dealing with any violations that may arise. We recognize that scientific research is a collective human effort, and that any ethical breach not only harms the journal's credibility but also shakes the confidence of the entire academic community. Therefore, we take seriously cases of malpractice, which may include:
• Presenting previously published research as new work
• Falsifying data or research results
• Manipulating images and graphs
• Including the names of authors who did not actually contribute to the research
• Concealing conflicts of interest
• Misuse of confidential information
If any of these practices are discovered, we follow clear procedures, starting with a thorough investigation, then communicating with all relevant parties, and ending with taking appropriate action, which may include withdrawing the published research and notifying the relevant academic institutions.
We also strive to raise awareness among researchers, especially young researchers, about the importance of adhering to research ethics through the workshops and guidance materials we provide. We believe that prevention is better than cure, and that awareness plays a pivotal role in preventing malpractice before it occurs.
We invite all researchers to join us in this endeavor to build a clean academic environment where genuine scientific effort results in authentic knowledge that contributes to the advancement of society and humanity. The credibility of scientific research is not merely a policy we follow; it is a value we uphold and a responsibility we bear towards future generations.
