1. Introduction:
Afaq Al-Ma'rifa Journal adheres to the highest standards of academic integrity and considers academic plagiarism a serious violation of research ethics. We use Turnitin's advanced plagiarism detection system to ensure the originality of all submitted research. 2. Definition of Plagiarism:
Plagiarism includes any of the following practices:
• Copying the text or ideas of others without explicit reference to the source
• Paraphrasing published content without adequate attribution
• Presenting previously published research as new work
• Literal translation from other languages ​​without reference to the original source
3. Acceptance Criteria:
• The similarity rate in the Turnitin report must be less than 20%
• Any similarity above 8% from a single source requires careful review
• Exceptions are made for:
o Fixed titles
o Common scientific terms
o Direct passages with proper attribution
4. Detection Procedures:
• All papers are passed through the Turnitin system upon submission
• Editors receive a detailed report showing:
o Overall similarity rate
o Similar sources
o Questionable passages
o Manuscripts that exceed the permitted percentage are immediately rejected
5. Documentation Policy:
Authors must:
• Document all sources used according to the Journal's APA Guide
• Place clear quotation marks for verbatim copies
• Attach written permission for any copyrighted material Publication
6. Sanctions for Plagiarism:
If Plagiarism is Discovered:
A. Before Publication:
• Immediate Rejection of the Researcher's Paper
• Notification to the Researcher's Institution
• One-Year Submission Ban
B. After Publication:
• Official Retraction of the Paper
• Publication of a Notice of Retraction
• Notification to Databases and Indexes
7. Appeal Procedures:
Authors may:
• Provide a written explanation for any unintended similarity
• Prove originality with additional evidence
• Request reanalysis in the event of a technical error

• Guides for Proper Documentation
• Templates to Ensure Compliance with Standards
9. Authors' Responsibilities:
Authors must:
• Check the originality of the paper before submission
• Retain all references and manuscripts
• Report any errors after publication
10. Exception Policy:
Papers containing:
• Legal texts
• Historical documents
• Long copied passages
